KRUT is Ukrainian singer and bandura player, Maryna Krut.
A powerful and authentic new voice reviving a great Ukrainian folk musical tradition, Maryna has a timeless quality that is rooted in history while boldly reaching forward.

Her first EP "Albino" was highly praised by critics and listed as best album of the year in several Ukrainian publications where she was also acknowledged as one of the top discoveries of modern Ukrainian music. The song “To take zhyttia” from her latest album “Liteplo” became
the soundtrack to the full-length Ukrainian film "I work at the
cemetery" and was nominated for and won accolades for the best soundtrack.

Since 2014, KRUT has been actively engaged as a volunteer with
projects helping her country and people survive and performing
for courageous Ukrainian citizens and soldiers in the war zone. She has also been touring internationally including several sold out performances in Canada.
